Terms of Service

Last updated: March 1, 2026

Welcome to HomeCall Vets. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website at www.homecallvets.com, our phone services, and our mobile veterinary services (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Overview

HomeCall Vets operates a platform that connects pet owners with licensed mobile veterinary professionals who provide in-home veterinary care. We are a technology and scheduling platform. Veterinary care is provided by independent, licensed veterinary professionals ("Providers") who use our platform to coordinate visits.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to consent to veterinary treatment for your pet to use our Services. By booking a visit, you represent that you are the pet's owner or authorized caretaker with the legal right to authorize veterinary care.

3. Booking and Appointments

When you request a visit, we match you with an available Provider in your area. Booking requests are subject to Provider availability. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred timing, but same-day availability is not guaranteed. Providers will contact you to confirm the appointment.

You may cancel or reschedule an appointment with at least 2 hours' notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee at the Provider's discretion.

4. Veterinary Care

All veterinary care is provided by independently licensed veterinary professionals. HomeCall Vets does not practice veterinary medicine. Providers are responsible for their clinical judgment, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations.

Our AI-assisted triage is a convenience tool to help prioritize care and is not a substitute for professional veterinary examination. Treatment decisions are always made by the licensed Provider during the in-person visit.

5. Emergency Situations

HomeCall Vets is not an emergency veterinary service. If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency (not breathing, seizure, poisoning, severe trauma, bloat), go to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital immediately. In the Gainesville area, contact the UF Small Animal Hospital at (352) 392-2235, open 24/7.

Our Providers may determine during a visit that your pet requires emergency or specialist care beyond what can be provided at home. In such cases, the Provider will help coordinate transfer to an appropriate facility.

6. Pricing and Payment

Each visit includes a callout fee plus charges for services rendered. Your Provider will present an estimate before beginning treatment. You are responsible for payment of all services provided.

Payment is due at the time of service unless alternative arrangements are made. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as displayed at the time of checkout.

Pricing may vary by Provider, location, time of day, and services rendered. HomeCall Vets reserves the right to update pricing at any time.

7. Referral Program

HomeCall Vets may offer referral credits to clients who refer new customers. Referral credits are applied to future visits and have no cash value. HomeCall Vets reserves the right to modify or discontinue the referral program at any time.

8. Reviews and Ratings

You may be invited to leave a review after your visit. Reviews must be honest, respectful, and based on your actual experience. HomeCall Vets reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove reviews that contain profanity, personal attacks, false information, or violate these Terms.

9. Your Responsibilities

When using our Services, you agree to:

10. Provider Safety

The safety of our Providers is paramount. If a Provider determines that a situation is unsafe โ€” including but not limited to aggressive animals, hostile environments, or unsafe property conditions โ€” they may decline to provide services or leave the premises at any time. A callout fee may still apply.

11. Limitation of Liability

HomeCall Vets provides a technology platform for connecting pet owners with veterinary providers. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HomeCall Vets, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our Services, your violation of these Terms, or injury caused by your pet to a Provider.

13. AI and Technology Disclaimer

Our Services include AI-assisted features such as phone reception, triage assessment, and medical note generation. While we strive for accuracy, AI systems may occasionally produce errors. AI-generated assessments and notes are tools to assist โ€” not replace โ€” licensed veterinary professionals. All medical decisions are made by human providers.

14. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of HomeCall Vets or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

15. Privacy

Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

16. Modifications

HomeCall Vets reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our Services shall be resolved in the courts of Alachua County, Florida.
